About GreenArden design
The practise, led by Christine Wilford, offers stylish yet timeless and practical design solutions to outdoor spaces.
We offer a complete landscape design service, from conception through planning and tender, to construction and planting. Plus, consultation and planting design services are available for those who want to improve only certain areas in their gardens. We also provide services for supporting planning applications or their conditions, in association with hard and soft landscaping.
Each design approach is unique and individual in response to each client and brief, producing projects that exceed expectations and add value. Once a garden is finished and handed it over to the owners and gardeners, we keep in touch and return to advise as the garden develops.

Christine Wilford
A lifelong interest in design and a growing passion for plants and gardens led me to study garden design professionally at the Garden Design School in Surrey.
I qualified in 2007 with distinction and established the garden design practice GreenArden design in 2008. I am a fully registered member of the Society of Garden Designers (SGD), the professional body of garden designers in the UK.
Since embarking on the journey of creating gardens I have become more and more passionate about planting design and creating environments for people to enjoy, relax and de-stress from our daily life challenges.
Since 2019 I have held the position of Chair of the Surrey Garden Design Group, a collaborative networking group for professionals and non-professionals within the garden and landscape industry.
Architectural background
I originally trained as an architect, qualifying in Hamburg, Germany, in 1987, and worked for several architectural practices in Hamburg until I established my own practice in 1992.
Through this work, I gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in the design process, project management and execution of construction. These skills now perfectly complement my passion for garden and landscape design. For architectural services please contact us on 020 7018 5207 or via email.
